The project "Lest We Forget - Gegen das Vergessen," curated by Luigi Toscano, presents over 200 portraits of concentration camp survivors captured across Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and the United States. Initiated to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camp survivors following World War II, the series serves as a compelling visual reminder of history’s enduring impact. The portraits, featuring now elderly individuals recounting their harrowing experiences, function as an artistic appeal to confront contemporary issues of antisemitism and racism.

Commencing on 16 September 2015, the exhibition was displayed as a photographic installation in the public spaces of Mannheim's Alte Feuerwache, Germany. This public presentation aimed to foster reflection and remembrance within a communal setting.

Complementing the physical exhibition, an innovative digital component was developed—a dedicated iPad application titled "Lest We Forget." With the support of Naxos Software Solutions GmbH, this app extends accessibility beyond the gallery walls, allowing users to undertake virtual tours at any time and location. The application integrates the photographic portraits with filmed interviews, historical documentation, and pertinent references—creating an interactive platform that deepens engagement with the subject matter.

The multimedia approach effectively confronts viewers with personal testimonies and historical context, encouraging thoughtful reflection on the survivors' experiences. Through media didactics and museum pedagogy techniques, the "Lest We Forget" app seeks to facilitate a profound and personalized understanding of this complex history.
